Divide & Conquer - Abigail Roux, Madeleine Urban ”Reread Week” (Nov 26, 2012)This is one of the few books so far that I actually liked less on the reread. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it…by this point, I love Ty & Zane, period, so nothing else matters that much. But I admit that this storyline is a bit lame. Teenagers w/ little to no reason to behave really, really badly? Not buying it. And Zane, just spit it OUT already. You love the man…sheesh. Do we have to read 300+ pages to get you to finally say it? And Ty’s best friend just happens to also be gay and love him too? It all felt like a stretch. And more so than even after the first read, I was PISSED at Ty at the end. To be honest, the note felt a little out of character at this point in their relationship.New observation: I’m newly picking up on how much these guys really know each other. They might not know all the details of their pasts, but they know how each is going to react. They can read each other. I’m enjoying the looks and the ability to interpret each others’ actions. Original rating: 4 starsReread rating: 3.5 stars*************************ORIGINAL REVIEWYES! Now we're FINALLY getting somewhere! Book 4, Divide & Conquer is my favorite of the series to date! This book is rich with emotion and it's such a treat to dive deeper and deeper into the love that's burgeoning between Ty and Zane! I think back to how book 1 was more about cliche'd characters and now they've come into their own and you can feel that Abigail Roux has totally embraced each of them and KNOWS them...just as the reader is doing so as well. I may have liked Ty and Zane before. But, now, I adore them...for all the good & bad that comes with them.I loved Divide & Conquer because for once, the action, and the "story" took a backseat. This one was so much more about the feelings w/in each of our main characters and how they were dealing w/ the growing love between them. My heart literally ached at times as I read this. *sigh* So good. And the ending...the last line...WTF?! Once my heart starts beating again, you better believe I'm diving into book 5. All my other TBR's will have to wait...
