3.5 starsI thought this book read like a novella. Moved quickly and didn't rest on any particular part of the story for too long. I finished feeling like I had only just skimmed the surface of the story. Still, hard not to sigh at the depth of the *love-at-first-sight* connection between Lexi and Leo, especially since both of them needed it in each of their lives so desperately. I found the explanation of what Leo had been up to for 6 years (what they refer to as "the past") was a bit of a throwaway and not quite believable for the Leo we were already coming to know. But, that's just a minor grievance. I do love how Leo isn't this perfectly rich, good-at-everything male lead that you usually find in these types of books. Refreshing.
